Empower Your Inner Artist: It's Time for a New Sketch Challenge

Hello again! There is absolutely no way another week has past. I'm thinking to start a protest because someone clearly has sped up the world timer and it's running at least double or triple speed. And I'm not at the age where I want that. Is anybody else with me? We could get t-shirts made, poster board on wooden stakes, we could march up and down...where? There's not a dang street we could march down where we could make a difference, and frankly it all sounds like way too much effort. So, I guess I'll continue to protest from a comfy chair, or bed (my favorite) and wish I had more energy while drinking my nightly cocktail. That's way more my speed. Alright, that's enough of my nonsense.

Last week we had a great color challenge and the projects that both you and the DT Team came up with were awesome! I know with 100% certainty that this week will be the same or even better! If that's possible, and I'm not convinced it is.

Our winner from last week is @patricia_mimamahandmade who showed off the Paint Strokes stencil in a really cool way! Please contact me at hello@mftstamps.com, and I'll send over your crafty cash!

This week it's time for a sketch challenge! I'm not sure which I prefer, because honestly everyone surprises me each week with something unexpected and delightful, so no favorites can be had. And it also makes each week a bit thrilling, too. With the understanding that right now I don't have much of a social life so this really is the cat's meow for me.

There are a million things that can be done with this week's sketch, and I can't wait to see what you create!

Rebecca NAILED this challenge in the most fun way possible. I LOVE this card as much for its whimsy as its subject matter, but the important thing is, I love it!

Jess's underwater scene is precious. I love how she's gone from deep sea to skyline so organically. I think her clever take is mermazing!

OK, first off we need to talk about how Zoe colored her pineapple. How flippin' clever! The whole card is wonderful, but the pineapple; be still my heart. I love that Zoe used a Smart Mask stencil and has her sketch in the background while letting these adorable critters take the limelight.

If asked in this moment where I'd most like to be, the answer is atop one of these winged beauties on a joyride as a small gnome, a Smurfette if you will. 😉

Said (in my head) with my best (which means none) Papa Smurf voice, "My little Smurfs, it's your turn to create something smurftastic!".
