It's always a mice day to play with some Birdie Brown images and pick up tips from coloring guru Sandy Allnock. Sandy is with us today, sharing a trendy slimline design that features the newest Birdie Brown birthday set. Spend some time learning how she pulled together this celebratory design, then make sure to scroll to the end of today's post for some fun news about an event happening TONIGHT. Hope to see you there!

Hello friends! I’m Sandy Allnock and I’m fully on board with the slimline trend...someone hold my feet because I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole, ha! But it’s a fun one, and gives me LOTS more room to color, so that can’t be wrong, right?

The Mice Day to Celebrate set is awesome because of all the cute mice but MFT knows how to win MY heart: FOOD! I have one wicked sweet tooth, and having a card full of mice at a birthday party with a ginormous cupcake just makes me so happy!

The coloring of this was so fun, and while it took a long time, I just kept thinking about how happy it will make the recipient!

The sentiment is “split” — not by cutting the stamp, though I’ve been known to do that before; but instead I used a Post-it to stamp the first line in place, then cleaned the stamp and moved it down, and used the same post it note to mask off the left half of the sentiment.

Don’t forget the inside of a card! I even added layers of paper before stamping a second sentiment along with another mouse who didn’t make the cut on the front.

I am so amazed at how the perfect coloring can just bring these mice to life! I definitely need coloring practice, but I love seeing these critters come to life!
