Happy Looks Good on You
Karolyn is with us today sharing a smile-inducing card – I love how she combined Die-namics to frame that very happy sun. Read on to learn how she created it. And a big thanks to Karolyn for sharing! Is this not so stinkin’ cute?! The Smile TRANSFORM-ables Die-namics are beyond clever and innovative! But I’m not surprised – MFT always blows my socks off with fresh and original designs! There are two elements included in the Smile TRANSFORM-ables Die-namics – a solid larger rectangle and a smaller die that cuts out the word and the opening. I thought that when you put them together, they kind of looked like a polaroid, right? So I die cut them both out of Sweet Tooth Card Stock, first cutting the base, and then cutting the interior. Then I pulled out another of my favorite MFT dies, the Sun Ray Die-namics, and cut it twice – once from Lemon Drop Card Stock, and again from Sno-Cone Card Stock. I inlaid the two die cuts so that it looks like the sunshine lighting up the blue sky. Next, I used the larger of the two Smile TRANSFORM-ables elements to trim down the Sun Ray die cut to fit behind the white Smile die cut. I attached them together using foam tape. I made a top-fold A2 card base from Steel Gray Card Stock, and stamped one of the darling sentiments from the coordinating Smile stamp set using VersaMark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Lastly, I adhered the entire assembly to the card base. Easy peasy! I think this card would bring a smile to anyone having a bad day, don’t you think? I hope it makes you smile! Thanks so much for stopping by today – thanks for having me back, MFT!
